Here is the online petition to Boycott Kellogg's For Treatment Of Michael Phelps that is now circulating! So here is your chance to speak out everyone! Already over 6000 people have signed. Let them know just how stupid their decision is to drop Michael Phelps! There is more as well, like this new Facebook group that is fighting the cause.

The leader of one of the biggest legalize-pot organizations, the Marijuana Policy Project, called Kellogg’s action “hypocritical and disgusting”, and said he’d never seen his membership so angry, with more than 2300 of them signing an online petition.

“Kellogg’s had no problem signing up Phelps when he had a conviction for drunk driving, an illegal act that could actually have killed someone, To drop him for choosing to relax with a substance that’s safer than beer is an outrage, and it sends a dangerous message to young people."”

said Rob Kampia, the group’s executive director.

You can clearly see across all the search engines that people are outraged over this by searching the keywords: "Boycott Kelloggs". Many outraged citizens have been phoning Kellogg's non stop, in fact, if you call the Kellogg company here is what you now hear:

"Thank you for calling the Kellogg Company. If you would like to share your comments regarding our relationship with Michael Phelps, please press one to speak to a representative. If you're calling about the recent peanut butter recall, please press two now. Otherwise, press three or stay on the line. Thank you."

Joe Rogan from the once popular T.V. show Fear Factor wrote a letter to the Kellogg's company recently concerning the Michael Phelp's pot photo issue, you can read it here at The Rogan Blog, Joe's personal blog. He really nails it to them, those bastards at Kellogg's owe SO MUCH to Michael Phelps and the majority of the American public feels this way as well! The more celebrity status people that speak out on this the better! In fact i would like to hear what other celebrity's and hollywood actors have to say about this issue.

I still support boycotting kellogg's and the cause it stands for, but i am kind of disappointed in Michael, he should have never apologized to anyone. Michael, my personal message to you is you should formally stand your ground, you have the ultimate position and power to do so and knock some sense into the rest of our pathetic society and government on this issue of marijuana.

If Joe Rogan has the ballz to publicly display his feelings on this matter, and many other celebs, public figures, and well respected journalists for many popular news outlets do, then so do you Michael, you are letting down millions of good hard working americans that get prosecuted and have their lives destroyed because of petty drug offenses.

Mothers, fathers, sons, daughters,...ripped away from their families...

I must confess. I'm not a writer. I'm just a concerned citizen that believes it's time for the change we need. We need it now and we need to know we'll get it.

When I saw this picture of Obama smoking a cigarette like a joint I laughed hard. Our President is awesome! Of all the stuff that has been made in Obama's name. Someone needs to make "Obama Blunts."

Now on the serious side of things.

Obama was blunt about his answer. The question was posted on Barack's Change.gov website. In a successful effort from the collaboration of many websites on the nets. This question became the number #1 question in the "Open for Questions" section of the site. The question was, "Will you consider legalizing marijuana so that the government can regulate it, tax it, put age limits on it, and create millions of new jobs and create a billion dollar industry right here in the U.S.?" To which Obama replied, "President-elect Obama is not in favor of the legalization of marijuana."

Why in the world would Obama say this? This is a person that has smoked it himself. This is a person that is aware of the ludicrous laws. This is a person that understands the amount of revenue and jobs that this plant would make the United States. This is the President-Elect that I voted for CHANGE! This is a President-Elect I thought would finally end these antiquated laws. These laws that cost us billons. These laws that have so much fail that adding the word "epic" hardly does justice for them.

Citizens are rotting in prison cells. Millions have been locked up at your expense on a victimless crime. You the taxpayer are paying for this. Our fellow American's are being locked away for years. And nothing is changing!

We are locking up our people because they are sick and looking for relief. We are also punishing them by not allowing them to access medicine that has been proven to help in countless diseases. We are locking up doctors that are genuinely trying to help our sick. Our sick are not criminals. The doctors that try to help them are not criminals either.

This is not the drug that our government has told us it is. There are no overdose deaths. Millions of Americans smoke or ingest marijuana every year. These are our Mothers, Fathers, Sons and Daughters. They are also our friends. Most are law abiding citizens. They have families, friends, and even become President.

We need to let Barack Obama know and understand that we demand the Change he promised us.

We need to legalize it, tax it, regulate it.

In this open letter to Barack Obama, the Marijuana Policy Project suggests just a few of the many changes President-elect Obama could take to begin creating sensible marijuana policies in America.
